This is an exciting opportunity to take a virtual tour through the special exhibition “American Dreams, A New Life in the USA”, now on display at the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg, in Stuttgart, Germany.
Dr. Christina A. Ziegler-McPherson, one of the curators of the exhibition, will discuss the development of “American Dreams”, with a special focus on the stories from Pennsylvania featured in the exhibition. A highlight will be a presentation of the material loaned by the German Society of Pennsylvania!
Bio: Christina A. Ziegler-McPherson is an American historian in Germany specializing in migration history and assimilation theory. She holds a Ph.D in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is the author of four books and several articles dealing with these themes. She is at present a curator at the Baden-Württemberg state history museum, Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg, in Stuttgart, where she helped curate the special exhibition, “American Dreams, A New Life in the USA,” on display at the museum until July 28, 2024.
