Hidden Gems in German Archives

Many researchers are unaware that there are many resources ranging from probate and court records to mortgage registers, tax lists, registers of settlers, and more, held by local and regional German archives. In addition, Polish archives are of great importance when researching Germans in the former eastern Prussian provinces. Many archives have been making great strides with digitizing inventories.
