German Texan annual conference

This is a partner event. The theme is early immigration of Germans into Texas and their legacy. Speakers: Benno Engel on Prince Carl von Solms-Braunfels, the founding of New Braunfels, and the Sophienburg archives; Kevin Klaus on land grants to the Germans; Drs. Daniel Gelo and Christopher Wickham on Theodore Specht, an early immigrant to Fredericksburg, and his efforts to create a peaceful coexistence between settlers and Native Americans. Register.
