The 1848 Revolution in TX  (German Texan Heritage Society)

Dr. Walter Kamphoefner, history professor at Texas A&M and author of Germans in America, will speak on "The 1848 Revolution in TX: The Black-German Republican Reconstruction Era Alliance and Progressive Politics." The topic covers the political alliance of Black and German Republicans, and the progressive politics of that era resulting from the political refugees of the 1848 era.
