Myron Gruenwald began publication of Die Pommerschen Leute (The Pomeranian People) newsletter in 1982 and continued until his death in 1998. During 2000-2001, Toni Perrone and the Immigrant Genealogical Society formed the Pomeranian Special Interest Group to continue publication of the newsletter. In 2021, the Pomeranian Special Interest Group transformed itself into a California non-profit, public benefit corporation.

Genealogical Society 


To encourage those with ancestry from the Baltic Sea duchy of Pomerania to contact others and record its people, share resources and inform others of Pomeranian history, geography, cultural and social influence and worldwide impact.


    Individual – $20 for one year, $40 for two years.

    The Die Pommerschen Leute publication and the Pomeranian Special Interest Group News are digital
    publications emailed to subscribers.

    Membership Benefits:
